Bountiful’s volunteer citizen response to potential disasters is organized around 13 disaster response districts (with boundaries corresponding to those of LDS stakes), each with multiple adjacent response areas (corresponding to LDS wards). While using LDS boundary structures and facilities–due to the uniform fabric of organization and facilities throughout Bountiful–this effort is strictly non-denominational and invites all who are of any or no denomination to participate.

Area leaders and coordinators divide their areas into blocks and assign a block captain to work with residents in each block. They provide emergency preparedness resources and information to those living in their area.
If you are an area leader or coordinator, please attend area leader trainings! Your district leaders and council liaisons can let you know when and where these are. To find out which council member is liaison to your area, visit this page and find the liaison to your district (stake).
